PHILANTHROPY

While filming his documentaries, Urs engages in grassroots philanthropy, giving back to the people that he is engaged with:
 







He has built a health clinic in Mali to treat migrants who failed to reach Europe. It was the only such clinic in West Africa.
 
He has financed a women’s co-op in Mauritania when the men there where unsupportive. A year later, it was thriving.
 
He paid for a Buddhist monk’s English classes, enabling the monk to teach the important history of the temple.
 
He funded band instruments for a Hindu temple in Sri Lanka.
 
He donated money to Buddhist monks living in poverty in northern China.
